Visual Artists and Painters
I was born in the capital city of Iran – Tehran in 1967.
My main interest was in painting since I was a little girl. I am familiar with Persian Calligraphy and its combination with painting in contemporary style.

I have passed several courses in drawing, oil painting and watercolour, at art institutes and I am familiar with “miniature” too. I’ve experienced a variety of media and mixed media in the past years.

Few individual and two group exhibitions were results of the above works and experience, which I had at Tehran.
Due to strong inter relation between Persian art and literature; I decided to do higher education in Persian literature at BA level.
I have also learnt two methods of Chinese painting known as “Gong bi” and “xie yi” when I was living at Shanghai, under supervision of a Chinese lecturer for two years.

There have been two major events that influenced my art work in the past; the first was the Iran’s revolution and eight years of war and second one, travelling around the world for the last 18 years to understand diversity of cultures and arts.

I came to Newcastle about four years ago and I started my work with Intercultural Arts (NECDAF) and PCS Company as visual artist.
